ReelSaver helps you process links to publicly accessible Instagram Reels, videos, photos, Stories and carousel posts. Instead of installing an application or sharing your Instagram password with a third-party service, you can paste a supported Instagram URL into the tool and see the media that is available for download.

The service is designed for modern mobile and desktop browsers. This means you can use the same website on an Android phone, iPhone, tablet, Windows computer or Mac. For carousel posts, ReelSaver can display the available media items separately and, when supported, provide a ZIP option for downloading multiple items together.

How Instagram media downloading works

Instagram pages can contain different types of media, including videos, images and multi-item carousel posts. When you submit a public Instagram link, ReelSaver attempts to identify the media associated with that page and presents the available files. The exact result can depend on the post type, availability of the content and changes made by Instagram.

Because Instagram controls access to its platform, not every link can always be processed. Private posts, removed posts, expired Stories and links that are no longer publicly accessible may not be available. ReelSaver does not bypass private-account restrictions and does not ask users for Instagram passwords or account credentials.

Reels, videos, photos and carousel posts

Reels are short-form videos published on Instagram, while regular video posts and photo posts can have different media structures. Carousel posts can contain several photos, videos or a mixture of media in one Instagram post. A downloader should not need your Instagram password just to process a publicly accessible link. ReelSaver is designed around public content and does not request an Instagram username or password. Avoid entering account credentials into third-party download tools.

A public post being accessible does not automatically mean that its creator's copyright or other rights have been waived. When a download does not work

If ReelSaver cannot process a link, first make sure the Instagram post is public and that the URL was copied correctly. A post may also be unavailable because it was deleted, made private, restricted, or changed after the link was shared. Temporary platform changes can also affect how a public page is processed. In these cases, try the current public URL again later.
